Visual testing mainly focuses on software usuability and how the customer will feel about it. QA Engineers need to work with developers closely and they will show the problem or defect to the developers instead of describing in words.

It makes it more clear and easy to understand whats going on by both software tester and software developer. It also reduces the time to fix the problem. Usually what happens is when QA person logs the defect, Software develop will ask for more information stating that it is unable to reproduce it on the developer machine. Visual Testing is a solution to this problem and is more useful when agile development process is in place.
